One of the first dragonflies of the year was spotted yesterday. This particular one is a 'Broad-Bodied Chaser'.

It was seen by myself and regualar visitor/photographer Mick Healey sunning itself on the east side of the Rife.

I am sure that there will now be many more sightings of these magnificent flying insects over the coming weeks and months.
